Now that the nights are drawing in and knowing that at least some of you should probably take a break from staring at charts on Bitcoinity, we thought wed better make the most of whats left of the summer and go hang out with the ducks down by the canal. The gang that has been busily making plans for London’s first Bitcoin festival, Blockstock, have gotten the guys at The Proud Archivist Gallery & Bar (www.theproudarchivist.co.uk) that sits by the canal in Haggerston, N1 to start accepting bitcoin. So we should go spend some!
On Sunday 24th Aug between 4pm and 9pm, The Archivist will be launching their Hardshakes bar (thats alcohol laced milkshakes btw – what a world!) so you can spend coin on those if you so wish or else stick to a more traditional selection of beverages and food. This is purely a social get together with no formal presentations or debates so just bring your mobile wallets and show our hosts some love. Everyone is welcome and its a perfect opportunity for our newer members, whatever your level of Bitcoin understanding may be, to come and meet a few of our more seasoned pros and get some of those tricky questions you have off your chests. The venue is very pleasant but a little off the beaten track so please check the directions at: www.theproudarchivist.co.uk/contact-us/
